Maura Riordan

Yoga, Chair Yoga, & Reiki

Introduced to meditation and yoga at an early age by her mother, Maura has always been passionate about the mind/body connection and the benefits yoga provides. Her dedication to her personal yoga practice led her to the Ahimsa School of Yoga where she completed her 200 hour certification program. She studied traditional Hatha yoga from the Sivananda Lineage and has experience teaching classes such as Chair Yoga, Prenatal, Meditation and All Levels from Beginner to Advanced as well as teaching at retreats and leading workshops. She is also a Certified Reiki Practitioner and attained an Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy Certification. Maura finds that the practice of yoga is about finding balance, peace and strength both on and off the mat. She believes that in order to create peace within our families, communities and world, we must first find that balance and peace within ourselves. She has found that a consistent practice allows one to honor their True Authentic Self while cultivating compassion. By teaching students to mindfully move their bodies while connecting to their breath, she guides them through their own unique personal journey of self transformation.

Pam Kinckner

Personal Training & Chair Fitness

Hello my name is Pam and I started my Personal Training career in 2014.  I had to stop my business and head back to the office, 3 1/2 years. I realized I was miserable.  I made the decision to get recertified again this past August. Working with my clients gives me such happiness.  We get to know each other to the point were we become friends.  I love guiding them through their workouts and helping them become a stronger and healthier person.  I am a high energy trainer who believes in laughter.  With me you will laugh a lot and become healthier and actually enjoy working out.

Circuit Training will include stations set up (5 or 6 time depending) that individuals will perform. They will be timed exercises. Example: 45 seconds doing squats, 20 seconds to move to next station and/or to get ready for next exercise, then 45 seconds to do bicep curls, 20 seconds to move to station, etc. Depending on the time of class (30/60 minutes) we will try to do 5/6 rounds, with a warm-up in the beginning and end with stretching.

Shea Kennedy, CHom, C.HP

Sound Baths & Homeopathy

Shea Kennedy, CHom is a classical Homeopathic and Sound and Vibration Practitioner. I started this wonderful journey over 15 years ago when my oldest was an infant. I noticed that after each well visit, he would become sick. Each time I would call his pediatrician they always prescribed antibiotics. I began to feel that conventional medicine was not the approach I wanted for my children. I became interested in homeopathy upon my research in an alternative approach. I found homeopathy helped with many common ailments including colds, ear infections, behavioral and emotional issues, including ADHD, and PANDAS. Every problem that came up was improved with the help of homeopathy.

Eventually our entire family was using homeopathy as our main form of healthcare.

After seeing the improvement homeopathy provided for my children, myself, family, and friends I decided to pursue my interest to begin studying homeopathy and sound therapy. I am a graduate of Lotus Health Institute and I continue my education with Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy, PHI Institute, and I have my certification as a HP supervisor from FHCI (Free and Healthy Children International).

Georgia Larounis

Virtual Meditation

Having recently retired as a public school educator for forty years, I have now devoted myself to being a mindfulness meditation instructor. In 2019 I completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program for Professionals at Thomas Jefferson, which afforded me the opportunity to teach out in the community. Some of the individuals I have taught include educators, lawyers, senior citizens and health professionals, among others. Jeff S.

Sun Kyeong

A fortuitous encounter with a Korean Qi master 18 years ago forever altered the course of Jeff’s life.  Jeff reluctantly accepted a QI Session from this unassuming man.  In the days and nights that followed, he felt a relief that was immediate and profound.  “It was like someone had released the air out of a very tightly filled balloon, I slept deeply. I could not remember feeling this content. I was filled with curiosity and questions. How could someone possess the power to create a shift so vast and meaningful in the course of one session?” Six months later this curiosity took Jeff deep into the mountains of South Korea where he trained alongside some of the world’s foremost Qi masters. As the months and years passed he felt stronger, more positive, lighter. In 2011, Jeff became a Qi Master.

About Jess

In many experiences throughout my life, I have been able to apply the quote introduced to me by my Mom “It’s the journey, not the destination.” Whether I’m on my yoga mat, spending time with my husband, son, family and friends, yoga for me is a journey to finding happiness in the present moment. I begin each class checking in with students to find out mental and/or physical capabilities, sense the energy in the room and determine how each class will flow.

Services include assisting employers and their employees to create a happy workplace environment by implementing gentle yoga and meditation into the workday. Immediate stress reduction while focusing on the breath and stretching in work clothes at your desk. Having worked primarily in project management for years, I know what it’s like to feel unheard at work. I am now on a journey to help others create happiness within themselves and within the workplace. Creating comfortable open lines of communication and increasing both profitability and retention.

Day Vibes also offers in-person and virtual senior chair yoga and meditation sessions to help aging adults feel at peace. The chair yoga is gentle with modifications for those using walkers or in wheelchairs so everyone can participate. These sessions are great for keeping the joints healthy and the mind at ease. We also work on breathing and memory exercises throughout the session(s). Mat yoga, Reiki, and geriatric massages are other great options for aging adults.

We are available for virtual or in-person sessions for individuals and groups of any size. Sessions include mat yoga, gentle yoga, Meditation, Thai Hand Reflexology, Geriatric Massage, Reiki, Tarot Card readings, Aromatherapy, Sound Baths, etc. for patients, clients, students, parties, events, retreats, etc. Each session or wellness day will be geared toward the needs of the individual or group. Modifications will be offered along the way.

Our team members are located in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and North Carolina. We are up for traveling too! Our team is made up of talented practitioners who wish to share and spread their gifts throughout the community. We support each other and work better together!

I hope that every student finds peace and mindfulness in what previously may have been an obstacle or challenge. We are all able to journey each and every time we practice.

Namaste,

Jess
